David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd has, over many years, developed extensive capability in the utility infrastructure sector.

The company has successfully undertaken numerous projects directly on behalf of ESB Networks, Irish Water, Local Authorities and other Public Utility Companies. Our Local Authority base covers the Leinster and South East region. On behalf of the various Local Authorities, we have successfully undertaken numerous and varying construction projects including; Road Construction, Public Realm projects, Traffic Calming schemes, Drainage schemes, Flood Mitigation projects, Watermain and Sewer installation, Pumping Stations construction, Footpath construction and Public Park Schemes. 

The company has been contracted to undertake works on several Irish Water Frameworks including, National Civils Framework, Provision of Sewer Rehabilitation & Civil Works (Nationally), Growth and Development Programme (South East Region), Regional New Connections Contract and the Provision of Water Services Repair and Maintenance Works (incl. Planned and Emergency response). 

The company is also the main contractor to ESB Networks for the South East region for the Trenching, Ducting & Cabling Framework Contract.  This contract includes the provision of a dedicated 24/7 emergency response service in respect of continuity of supply and operation to these essential services.  In 2020, the company was appointed as the main civil contractor for three solar farm projects located in the south east regional area.
