Recently awarded – Regional Wastewater Network Survey and Rehabilitation Framework

We are proud to announce that we have been appointed as the main contractor on the Regional Wastewater Network Survey and Rehabilitation Framework, Southern Region, on behalf of Uisce Eireann. Works will take place across the following 13 counties: Clare, Kerry, Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Tipperary, Offaly, Laois, Kilkenny, Carlow, Kildare, Wexford and Wicklow.

Sewer rehabilitation works will include sewer and manhole renovation and cleaning, using jet vactor units and manual cleaning, asset surveys using CCTV, flow and rainfall surveys, production of structural and service defect coding and condition grades, design and installation of full and part liners to existing sewers, lateral sewer repairs and reopening sewer connections, retrieval of waste from sewer works on site and the transport and disposal of this waste to a licenced landfill.

As part of this Framework, it is estimated that David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd. will complete the following volume of work.

  • 150km of CCTV surveying
  • 35km of sewer cleaning
  • 1,000 no. manhole surveys
  • 35km of trenchless sewer rehabilitation using full and part length liners
  • 2km of new sewers by open cut trenching
  • 1,200 no. repairs and remedial works to sewer connections
  • 250 no. manhole replacements
  • Renovation of 450 no. manholes
  • 150 no. repairs to large diameter brick sewers
  • 50 no. flow and rainfall surveys
